I’m very proud to have Ted Dabrowski joining Wirepoints as President. Our press release is linked here.
Nobody has as comprehensive an understanding of our state and local fiscal matters and the policy failures that broke us than Ted.
He’s exceptionally qualified. With an MBA from Wharton and a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, he could have stayed in banking to earn a fortune, but chose a career in public policy. You’ve seen many of his articles posted here from the Illinois Policy Institute where he worked previously for six years. He has a particular interest in how government works at the local level. Much of his work here will concentrate on that.
Ted’s an unusual guy with a special lens on life, probably because of the family he grew up in. His mom is from Ecuador, where he spent three years as a child. He’s fluent in Spanish and, with his help, we’ll eventually expand to better reach Hispanic communities. His dad, as a young man in Poland during the war, was shot up several times while serving as a messenger fighting the Nazis.
Ted and I don’t agree on everything, so expect to see different opinions occasionally. We do, however, share fundamental views of about government’s impact on the economy and how, in Illinois, it has betrayed those whom it should serve best — the poor and middle classes.
Personally, I’ll have a new challenge: Keeping up with Ted. He’s no slouch.
